Travel Repatriation Program
The Worldwide Travel Insurance Plan can be activated whenever a death occurs more than 100 kilometers from the client’s home. In the event of death while traveling on a covered trip, benefits will be paid for the return of mortal remains to the receiving funeral homes. Cost is only $525 that can be spread over time and included with your plan coverage. A one-time low cost for life coverage of an insured. The Plan also covers location and transportation to a local funeral establishment as well as transportation home for a travelling companion as the additional benefit. It also includes handling of all necessary documents, consular services if outside Canada and a transportation and reasonable travel expenses for the next of kin to accompany the deceased back home to Canada (if the insured is travelling alone).
